Roll & Ink Printmakingwith Angie Ianuzzi
Entering Grades 6-8 Monday-Friday, August 9-13 9:00am-12:00pm
Printmaking is a unique way to make pictures. Students will learn how to develop a composition that is suitable for carving into a soft rubber block called linoleum. Then, they will work through the printing process, producing a series of prints, so that they can really come to understand the technique, and learn how subtle changes in their process can affect the final prints. Snack and supplies provided.
Just Sew It! Fashion Design with Donna Collins and Jolene Lane
This is not your mother’s sewing class. Working on sewing machines, we will be taking pieces of clothing that you love that may not fit, and rearranging them into a whole new custom wardrobe. Bring old clothing that you would like to make into something new. Raid your closet, visit a used clothing store, bring anything that you would like to include in your new clothes (buttons, sequins, etc…). Basic skills in sewing helpful but not necessary. Please bring a sewing machine if you have one and a bag lunch.
